Tower 24 internationally in demand

The Fraunhofer-Institut for Materialfluss and Logistik (IML), Dortmund, and SSI SCHÄFER, Giebelstadt, mentor and manufacturer of the Tower 24, have achieved a marketing success for the logistic tower. The Irish company “365 Vendors” has joined as long sought-after partner for the marketing of the system that was originally designed as short-time storage location and alternative delivery address for parcel services.
The Irish company has a long-time experience in producing and marketing of divers transfer automats for food, bellies or gas bottles. These automats, however, are significantly limited in their capacities and application areas compared to the Tower 24. The especially commended 4x10 meter large pilot system in Dortmund has convinced the company. Three parallel usable automats with EC functionality and up to 100 retrievals per hour offer manifold options. Furthermore the Tower 24 is quite flexible in its design with currently 400 pallet locations at double-deep storage and up to 50 kg weight. After finishing a corresponding re-design further logistic towers are planned for the supply of the population around-the-clock in Great Britain and Portugal.
