The most modern refrigerated terminal in the world was put into operation by SSI Schäfer. This placed port operator Terminais Portuários de Ponta do Félix into the leading role for Brasilian poultry exports.
Exports increased substantially, namely by 30 %, adding high strategic and economic importance to the newly built deep-freeze storage depot for meat and poultry:
